The Murphy House
Kirkland, WA
This project transforms a 1960s residence into a refined, modern sanctuary. A major structural reconfiguration—removing a load-bearing wall—opens the home into a seamless, light-filled living, kitchen, and dining experience designed for elevated living and effortless entertaining. A newly introduced primary ensuite, bespoke trim detailing, curated flooring, and statement tile bring a layered, high-end finish throughout. Behind the scenes, fully updated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems ensure the home performs as beautifully as it looks—bringing timeless architecture into 2026 with intention and precision.
Living
Removed load-bearing walls and reframed the entire living/kitchen space for an open concept requirement for the clients to host and entertain including replacing a staircase pony wall with black metal railing to open up sightlines
BeforeKitchen
Our clients wanted a simple, clean modern white kitchen with ample seating around the kitchen island. We also engineered a larger pantry space and additional cabinets for storage in the same footprint
